Have A Roll launches unique coffee blend for ultimate taste sensation
The new 'Have A Coffee' blend was created in collaboration with Antwerp-based DOK Roastery
Have A Roll, known for delicious vegan cinnamon rolls, is proud to announce the introduction of their own coffee blend. Specially developed to create an ultimate taste experience that perfectly complements the sweet vegan cinnamon rolls. Not only a new taste experience, but also a remarkable local story, as Have A Roll joined forces with DOK Roastery, a roastery based in Antwerp.
Ever since the first Have A Roll shop opened in 2021, it has been serving fresh cups of coffee. A delicious combination with the vegan cinnamon rolls, which customers also enjoyed. Founder Dennis Van Peel thought it was time to take that experience to the next level by developing his own coffee blend, in harmony with the flavor palette of the famous cinnamon rolls.
"Nothing tastes better than a cinnamon roll with a freshly brewed cup of coffee," says Dennis Van Peel, founder of Have A Roll. "But it could be even tastier! In collaboration with DOK, an Antwerp-based coffee roastery, we created the ultimate espresso blend that goes perfectly with our cinnamon rolls. A blend of red bourbon and pacas beans with notes of lemon, coconut and almonds for an unparalleled taste."
Up until now, Have A Roll was already using coffee beans from an Antwerp brand, but to create their own blend, they partnered with a local business to help them develop their own blend. The goal was to create a blend that perfectly suits the sweet taste of their vegan cinnamon rolls, in harmony with cinnamon.
This lead to a great collaboration with DOK Roastery, located on Eilandje in Antwerp, which also houses coffee bar 'DOK 36'. Owner Boris is a young entrepreneur from the south of France who has been living in Antwerp for some time. Like Have A Roll, he is very passionate about his product and strives for perfection in every drink he serves.

Unique blend
Created in collaboration with DOK Roastery, the new 'Have A Coffee' blend promises an unparalleled taste experience. The blend consists of a blend of red bourbon and pacas beans with hints of lemon, coconut and almonds. The beans come from El Salvador, located at an altitude of 1,100 metres. The blend consists of 75% washed beans and 25% naturally dried beans. In 'washed beans', the bean is first removed from the fruit and then dried, while in 'natural beans' the whole fruit is dried and then the bean is removed from the shell.
As from 5 July 2023, all coffees (hot and cold) at Have A Roll will use the new 'Have A Coffee' blend. In addition, the specialty coffee, of the highest quality, will be available in every Have A Roll branch in 250g bags for €7.90.
